My passion for the structure and health of homes originated when my Dad bought a 2-flat for the family. I found myself rushing home from school to hang out, use some tools and help the family get the building ready for us to live in. Hardworking and hustling, my family’s work ethic has taught me to do the same and excel in anything I put my mind to. And more importantly, anything I put my hands on. 

Right out of high school, I focused on environmental health and received a license from IDPH for Asbestos Abatement in homes. I did this for 2 years, and then decided to obtain a degree in Electrical Construction and Planning from Coyne College. I wanted a more hands-on approach so I felt a trade school would be the best route for me at the time, and I couldn’t have been more right about the direction I was heading. 

For 18 years, I put all of my knowledge and education into action and started working for one of the top home automation companies in North America. I worked my way from an Installer to a Project Manager, working in some of the finest homes and condos in the Great Lakes area of the Midwest. I’ve worked alongside architects, designers and homeowners alike, installing home automation systems that control lighting, HVAC, alarms, shades and so much more. Whether it was retrofitting a 100 + year old Victorian beauty or a new construction home off the lake. All while working on my own investment properties in the process. Staying busy is the key!!

It only felt natural to focus on all that a true Home Inspection entails, and the attention to detail that I am honored to give my clients during each inspection.  As your Home Inspection Practitioner, it is my privilege to provide you with a report not just for the contingency process, but a manual to maintain the health of your home for many happy years to come.
